The Israeli occupation army continued its extensive war on Lebanon for the tenth consecutive day, launching more intense airstrikes on the southern suburb of the capital, Beirut. The official death toll has risen to 1,873.
The occupation warplanes conducted nine consecutive airstrikes within two hours on the southern suburb of Beirut early Wednesday, following warnings for residents of buildings in the area to evacuate immediately. The strikes targeted the areas of Hadath, Roueiss, Chouweifat, and Haret Hreik.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that 55 people were martyred and 156 others injured due to Israeli airstrikes on various regions of Lebanon over the past 24 hours.
On Tuesday evening, the Lebanese Disaster Management Unit reported that the number of casualties from the Israeli aggression on Lebanon since October 8 has reached 1,873 martyrs.
The government’s Disaster Risk Management Unit stated in its regular report that “the total number since the onset of events has risen to 1,873 martyrs and 9,134 injured.” It added, “The number of displaced people from areas under Israeli aggression has exceeded one million, including 155,600 registered in shelters.”
