Turkish Foreign Minister warns that Israeli aggression may spread across region

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said that Israeli aggressive actions in the Middle East region may intensify and strengthen after the US presidential elections.

The Turkish Foreign Minister warned that “if Israel attempts to destroy Iran’s nuclear capabilities, the possibility of the conflict spreading to other countries will increase.”

The minister added in an interview with ‘Hurriyet’ newspaper that after the US presidential elections, Israel may not be satisfied with a military response. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may take steps to eliminate Iran’s nuclear capabilities. “If this happens, the possibility of the conflict spreading to other countries will increase.”

“Israel’s main goal is to expel the Palestinians from Gaza to Egypt and from the West Bank to Jordan,” said Fidan. This scenario would plunge the region into greater instability.

According to him, “Israel” continues to put forward new conditions in negotiations with Hamas.

The Turkish Foreign Minister said this indicates that Israel is using negotiations to gain time to achieve its military goals. “We strongly supported the ceasefire from the beginning, but we informed the parties that Netanyahu was delaying the negotiations to obtain time.”
