Violent clashes broke out on Wednesday with various types of medium and heavy weapons, leaving nearly five dead and wounded in Shabwah provinces, which are under the control of UAE-backed factions in eastern Yemen.
Informed sources said, “Clashes renewed between militants of the Al Dahmar and Al al-Bahri tribes in the city of Al-Alia Bayhan following confrontations between them last week.”
The confrontations broke out between tribal militants in the Al-Runa region, leaving two people from the Dahmar tribe dead and another from the Al al-Bahri, amid appeals to stop the bloodshed among the tribesmen.
Today’s confrontations came after clashes broke out between tribal militants last week in front of the Bayhan security directorate gate, which left two people dead and two others injured.
The Shabwah districts are witnessing unprecedented security chaos due to the absence of state authorities and the encouragement of conflict between tribesmen by the leaders of the factions brought in by the UAE from the west coast.
