Beijing has expressed its support for the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) against the Prime Minister of the Israeli entity government, Benjamin Netanyahu, and his former Minister of War, Yoav Galant.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Xiyin said at a press conference in Beijing on Friday, in response to a question about the ICC decision and China’s position on it, that “China supports all initiatives of the international community that contribute to ensuring justice in the Palestinian issue and defending the authority of international law.”
Xiyin pointed out that conflicts and an unprecedented humanitarian crisis are still continuing in Gaza, which is being subjected to genocide at the hands of the Israeli occupation army.
He stated that the priority is to ensure an urgent and unconditional ceasefire and to take the necessary measures to alleviate the humanitarian crisis
