Al-Qassam Brigades’ Military Spokesman, Abu Obeida, announced the martyrdom of the commander of the Qassam Brigades, Mohammed al-Deif, “Abu Khaled,” along with a constellation of leaders in the field throughout the course of Al-Aqsa Flood.

“The great martyr leaders achieved victory by fighting for their faith, homeland, sanctities and the Prophet’s sacred site. They were martyred in the greatest battle fought by the Palestinian people,” Abu Obeida, said in a statement this evening.

“The martyrdom of our great leaders has not and will not weaken the determination of our resistance,” he stressed.

He confirmed that Al-Qassam’s leadership structure did not experience any vacuum, not even for a moment, during the Al-Aqsa Flood battle.

“The martyrdom of our commanders will be a curse upon the occupier until it is removed from our land and sanctities,” he underlined.

Abu Obeida disclosed the names of the group military council leaders in Gaza during the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood and they are as the following:

1- Chief of Staff of Al-Qassam Brigades Mohammed Deif

2- Deputy Chief of Staff of Al-Qassam Brigades Marwan Issa

3- Ahmed Al-Ghandour (Commander of the Northern Brigade)

4- Ayman Nofal Commander of the Central Brigade)

5- Rafeh Salama (Commander of the Khan Younis Brigade)

6- Raed Thabet (Commander of the Human Resources Section)

7- Ghazi Tama’a (Commander of the Weapons Section)
