Since February 2011, the Yemeni people have been waging a heroic liberation struggle against repressive, corrupt governments, foreign domination and foreign tutelage by the USA, Wahhabi Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
In just a few days, on March 26, 2015, the 10th anniversary of the illegal invasion of Yemen by Saudi Arabia and its coalition will be marked . The Saudi coalition, led by Bin Salman, has been waging war against the Yemeni people for 3,653 days, or 522 weeks, or 120 months.
Despite the approximately 60 billion US dollars that Saudi Arabia alone had to spend annually on this senseless war and genocide against Yemen, and despite support from the so-called “values-based West” – which supplied the most modern military technology to the Saudi war coalition – the Yemeni people have remained steadfast and undefeated.
All the modern fighter jets, howitzers, bombs and grenades – supplied by the USA and numerous NATO countries, including Germany – have not been able to break the will to win and the longing for freedom and self-determination of the Yemeni people.
I hope that the peace negotiations that have begun in Saudi Arabia between the US and Russia because of the war in Ukraine will finally open the eyes of the Saudi royal family and make them realize that their own war against Yemen must also finally come to an end.
Every March, Friends of the Yemeni Community in Germany and Stop the WAR in Yemen take to Berlin to demonstrate their solidarity and loudly protest for peace in Yemen in front of the Saudi Arabian and US embassies, and in front of the German government headquarters. In addition, regular conferences are held to develop solutions for lasting peace in Yemen and the Middle East.
We condemn the massive US/NATO/EU arms exports to the Saudi war coalition and to the far-right apartheid regime of Israel , which are used to commit war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide not only in Yemen, Palestine and Lebanon.
In Germany—which has increasingly evolved into a fascist totalitarian police state —human rights and peace activists are at risk of state repression, especially when it comes to protests against the Zionist genocide in Gaza and the occupied West Bank. Of particular note here is the ban on speaking in Berlin against UN Special Rapporteur for the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Francesca Albanese , who publicly condemns the Israeli genocide in Gaza, which violates Article 5 of the Basic Law ! The mainstream media—which is controlled by a transatlantic network consisting of the CIA, the Atlantic Bridge, and the Bilderberg meetings—is only delivering enemy and war propaganda into German living rooms. The populations of Germany and the European Union are thus subjected to a permanent brainwashing, preventing them from making fact-based judgments about the true perpetrators of wars and conflicts.
In Germany, the controversial, right-wing, and government-loyal editorial offices of the mainstream media have more than eight billion euros in compulsory subscriptions at their disposal.
Millions of people are reached through daily news broadcasts on radio, television, print media, and the internet. This is a state-orchestrated fake news media power that can hardly be broken by free, reputable, and independent media professionals.
Righteous critics of Western governments and their policies are censored, defamed, slandered, prosecuted, or even put on trial. Julian Assange, a publisher and journalist persecuted by the US government for publishing accounts of war crimes in Iraq and Afghanistan , spent 14 years of his life in asylum and in the British maximum-security Belmarsh prison, only being released in June of last year following worldwide protests. In the US, where he was to be extradited, he faced 175 years in prison, which would have been tantamount to the death penalty!
For my part, I wish the Yemeni people, the people of Palestine and Lebanon victorious days so that they alone can exercise their right to self-determination and shape the future of their countries without outside influence.
For a free Yemen, a free Palestine and a free Lebanon!
PLEASE COME IN NUMBERS FOR A JUST AND LASTING PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST!
