Unknown gunmen, believed to be affiliated with al-Qaeda, targeted a military vehicle belonging to the UAE-backed factions in Abyan province, southern Yemen, on Monday.
Informed sources reported that the gunmen targeted a military vehicle belonging to the the UAE-backed Transitional Council (STC) factions with an improvised explosive device (IED) as it passed through the Al-Furaidh area, east of Mudiyah District.
The sources explained that the explosion damaged the military vehicle, but no casualties were reported among the STC members.
