The Yemeni Ministry of Health confirmed that three civilians were martyred and several others wounded late Saturday, April 19, 2025, in a series of US airstrikes that targeted the capital Sana’a and several surrounding provinces, including Amran and Marib.
Among the casualties, two civilians were killed and two others injured when US warplanes bombed the residential Al-Nahda neighborhood in Al-Thawra District.
In Al-Safia District, another civilian was wounded after an airstrike hit the Majel Al-Damma cemetery. Meanwhile, a separate attack on Bani Matar District, northwest of the capital in Sana’a Province, left one civilian dead and another wounded.
The US aggression extended beyond these areas, with a barrage of strikes pounding multiple civilian locations in and around the capital.
In Al-Thawra District, five airstrikes targeted the 21st of September Public Park, while four more hit the Al-Hafa area. Another strike was reported on the Najimat cemetery in Al-Sabain District.
Strikes also extended to outer districts of Sana’a Province. Bani Hashish District was hit by three airstrikes, Al-Husn by two, and both Hamdan and Al-Haymah Al-Kharijiyah by two each. As of this report, no casualties have been confirmed from those attacks.
In Ma’rib Province, a US airstrike targeted Sirwah District, while four additional strikes were reported in Harf Sufyan District in Amran Province.
The strikes, which targeted residential neighborhoods, cemeteries, and public parks, mark a significant escalation in US military operations against Yemen.
