During the past 24 hours, hospitals in the Gaza Strip received the bodies of 57 civilians who were martyred in fresh Israeli attacks, along with the bodies of eight other people who were reported missing in previous attacks.
According to Gaza’s health ministry on Sunday, 315 citizens were also injured following Israeli attacks in the past hours.
Accordingly, a total of 5,071 people have been killed and 16,700 others have been injured since the Israeli occupation army resumed its genocidal war on Gaza on March 18, 2025.
The new fatalities increased the death toll from the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza, which started on October 7, 2023, to 55,362 martyrs, the health ministry stated.
The ministry added that the total number of the wounded also surged to 128,741 people.
At least 26 aid seekers were killed and more than 117 injured by Israeli gunfire today, bringing the total number of people killed since last May at US-Israeli aid distribution centers to 300, with 2,649 others injured.
Meanwhile, efforts are underway to recover the bodies of more martyrs who are still missing in different areas of the Gaza Strip.
