The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, continue to carrying out strikes against Zionist invading forces across multiple fronts in the Gaza Strip, as fierce fighting continues in several areas.
In a statement on Saturday, Al-Qassam Brigades said that their fighters were able to raid a gathering of Zionist soldiers and military vehicles near the Directorate of Education in Al-Mahatta area, in central Khan Yunis, southern Gaza Strip.
The attack took place on Friday morning, according to the statement.
They successfully targeted two Israeli Merkava tanks using two Shawaz explosive devices, “in a martyrdom-style operation,” causing casualties among both tank crews between dead and wounded.
The fighters also targeted an armored personnel carrier with a Yasin 105 shell. As soon as a rescue force arrived, it was engaged with light and medium weapons, the statement added.
During the operation, al-Qassam fighters observed the landing of helicopters conducting an evacuation that lasted several hours.
