Yemeni air defenses repel Zionist attack on Yemeni territory

Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e, the official spokesman for the Yemeni armed forces in Sana’a, announced via the X platform on late Sunday that the Yemeni air force repelled a Zionist attack targeting Yemeni territory.

” The Yemeni air defenses effectively confronted the “Israeli” aggression and forced a large part of its formations to leave, with a large barrage of locally made surface-to-air missiles, which caused great confusion among enemy pilots and their operations rooms,” Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e said in a brief statement.

He added, ” Our air defenses are ready and prepared to confront the “israeli” aggressions on our country with all strength and capability, Allah willing.”

“The Yemeni Armed Forces assure our people and the free people of our nation that they are highly prepared and, with Allah’s help, capable of confronting the aggressors, and that these aggressions will not affect them or their military capabilities, and that support operations for Gaza and Palestine will continue at a high pace, and we will defend our country and our nation with all the strength we possess, Allah willing.”

This coincided with the Zionist enemy launching airstrikes targeting the ports of Hodeidah and Ras Issa in Hodeidah province, which confirms that Yemeni air defenses have begun to directly engage and confront this attack.

This comes amid escalating regional tensions and represents the first announcement of a direct confrontation between the Yemeni air force and the Israeli enemy air force. It is a qualitative development that reflects a new shift in the nature and level of the conflict.

To date, no further details have been released regarding the extent of the damage or losses resulting from the attack.

The Yemeni official authorities are expected to announce further developments in the ongoing operations and the results of the response to the aggression later.
