Activists in Bern, Switzerland, staged a dramatic protest outside the Egyptian Embassy, surrounding the building with fireworks and locking its doors with iron chains.
This was in protest against Egypt’s policy on Gaza and its closure of the Rafah border crossing with the besieged Palestinian territory.
It came amid a wave of protests outside Egyptian embassies in European capitals, sparked by activist Anas Habib in the Netherlands, who symbolically locked embassy gates to protest the Rafah closure.
