Magdeburg, Germany – September 5–7, 2025
The Magdeburg Peace Festival returned this year under the slogan “We love peacemaking!”, bringing together activists, peace advocates, and members of the public committed to nonviolence and global solidarity. Held from September 5 to 7, the festival called on participants to become more “peace-minded” in the face of growing global inequality and conflict.
Serving as a platform for dialogue and networking, the festival challenges what it describes as a system where economic and political elites profit at the expense of the majority, while peaceful coexistence is sidelined.
“In a world where organized killing still exists, we believe another way is possible,” stated the organizing team. “To create real change, we need to shift public consciousness toward peace.”
The event also featured a special interview with festival founder Guido, offering insights into the festival’s journey from 2020 to 2024. The 49-minute conversation looked back at the movement’s growth and its continued relevance in today’s world.
