At least 6,668 civilian facilities have been targeted in the Zio-American aggression against Iran since the beginning of the war on February 28, according to statistics released by the Iranian Red Crescent on Saturday.
The bombed facilities include 5,535 housing units and 1,041 commercial units, in addition to 14 medical centers, 65 schools, and 13 Red Crescent facilities.
During these attacks, several rescue vehicles were also damaged, and a number of paramedics were injured while carrying out rescue missions in the targeted areas.
Meanwhile, the Iranian media reported that a US–Israeli airstrike targeted a girls’ high school in the city of Saqqez in Kurdistan Province, western Iran, without talking about casualties.
The media also reported frequent bombardment of residential areas in the western neighborhoods of the capital, Tehran.
In the morning, successive explosions rocked Tehran during airstrikes on sites inside the capital, while other reports talked about blasts on Kish Island in southern Iran’s Hormozgan Province.
In response, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps said it had downed an Israeli “Hermes 900” drone off the coast of Hormozgan Province, while also confirming the launch of a drone strike on an oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz after repeated navigation warnings were ignored.
The Revolutionary Guard also carried out strikes on three sites it said belonged to separatist groups in Iraq’s Kurdistan region early Saturday, as part of military operations that Tehran claims are aimed at preventing those areas from being used to launch attacks against Iran.
In the same context, Iran’s Tasnim News Agency reported that air defenses intercepted an Israeli “Orbiter 4” spy drone over Isfahan Province.
In another incident, the Hebrew media reported that Iranian missiles landed in areas in central Israel, without providing details, while the Israeli occupation army said it had detected a new wave of Iranian rockets, the second since early Saturday.
The rocket fire reportedly triggered sirens in Tel Aviv and across central Israel, as well as in settlements in the occupied West Bank.
In a related development, Iranian president Pezeshkian has apologized to regional countries, which have US military presence, affirming that “Iran is not going to attack them if no attack comes from their territories.”
“We do not intend to attack neighboring countries. As I have repeatedly said, they are our brothers,” the president said in a prerecorded address broadcast on state television on Saturday.
“Iran is committed to international law and humanitarian principles, and the enemy has no right to ignore its rights,” he added.
