Yemeni security forces publish findings on Zionist espionage activities

Yemeni security agencies have disclosed a range of methods used by Israeli intelligence to recruit individuals and collect sensitive information, warning the public against falling victim to such tactics.

In a statement obtained by Almasirah Network, the agencies said that financial incentives remain one of the primary tools used for recruitment, often presented through sponsored online advertisements and social media platforms. Job seekers are particularly targeted through postings on specialized employment websites and companies, where they are gradually subjected to screening processes that evolve into requests for security-related information.

The statement also highlighted the use of coercive methods, including “moral entrapment,” where individuals are compromised and later threatened with the release of private photos or videos to pressure them into cooperation.

According to the agencies, Israeli operatives may establish direct or indirect contact with individuals to extract sensitive military and security information. In some cases, intelligence officers reportedly attempt to intimidate targets by suggesting they possess detailed personal knowledge about them.

The report further noted that social media influencers affiliated with Israeli intelligence have been trained in Yemeni dialects to build relationships with citizens. Under the guise of cultural discussions, these individuals later solicit information about national leadership in exchange for money.

Other methods cited include the use of online surveys and field studies through profit-driven websites and applications, as well as personal relationships formed through social platforms with operatives posing as supporters of the Palestinian cause or Yemen’s political stance.

Additionally, the agencies warned of interviews conducted under the cover of international organizations and global media outlets, aimed at gathering detailed information about various sectors, including medical, economic, and military facilities.

They also pointed to the exploitation of casual conversations to guide recruited individuals into collecting intelligence about state leadership and the general situation within the country.

In conclusion, the security agencies reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding the nation’s internal front, stressing that they will remain “in the first line of defense” against hostile schemes. They praised public vigilance and cooperation in thwarting such activities and urged anyone who has engaged in any form of contact with Israeli entities—directly or indirectly—to report it immediately.
