Two Palestinians killed, several injured amid ongoing Israeli ceasefire violations in Gaza

Two Palestinian citizens were killed, and others injured on Saturday, April 18, 2026, due to continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian media outlets reported, citing local sources.

Medical sources at Nasser Medical Complex confirmed the martyrdom of Yousef Hassan, a resident of Rafah, who was shot by occupation forces in the northern part of the city.

Additionally, a young girl was wounded by Israeli gunfire in the Al-Mawasi area of Rafah.

In a separate incident, 25-year-old Ahmed Hani Abed succumbed to severe injuries sustained nearly a year ago from a “Quadcopter” drone strike in the northern Gaza Strip.

According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, eight people have been killed over the past 48 hours, including seven newly killed in recent attacks and one recovered from the rubble.

This escalation brings the total number of martyrs since the start of the ceasefire—now in its seventh month—to 766.

These figures underscore the fragility of the truce as Israeli forces continue to target civilians and carry out military incursions across various areas of the Strip.
