Israeli occupation forces continue carrying out shelling and heavy gunfire across various areas of the Gaza Strip on Thursday amid ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement, the Palestinian Information center reported, citing sources.
Two Palestinians were killed and others seriously injured in an Israeli drone strike in northern Gaza, according to local sources, as airstrikes and shelling continued in different parts of the territory.
Earlier today, a Palestinian was injured after an Israeli quadcopter drone dropped a bomb on Old Gaza Street in the town of Jabalia in northern Gaza.
Gaza’s Ministry of Health announced that hospitals across the Strip received two bodies and 24 injured people over the past 48 hours.
According to field reports, Israeli violations have continued for the 217th consecutive day on Thursday, including artillery firing, airstrikes, gunfire from military vehicles, demolitions of homes and civilian structures, and attacks targeting residential neighborhoods, displacement camps, and shelters.
In northern Gaza, Israeli artillery targeted areas in Jabalia refugee camp and the city of Beit Lahia, while heavy gunfire from Israeli military vehicles continued in eastern Khan Yunis.
Palestinian sources reported artillery shelling and gunfire targeting several areas east of Khan Yunis and east of al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, in addition to attacks on civilian homes and areas surrounding displacement shelters.
Israeli military vehicles and bulldozers also advanced into the al-Sakafi area in the Beit Lahia housing project in northern Gaza, accompanied by heavy gunfire toward civilian homes and displacement areas.
Israeli forces additionally detonated several homes in eastern Gaza City as part of the ongoing destruction of residential infrastructure across the Strip.
Sixteen people were injured on Wednesday in Israeli gunfire, shelling, and the explosion of unexploded remnants from the war in northern and central Gaza.
