The Leader of the Revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din Al-Houthi, said Eid ul-Adha represents a major spiritual and educational occasion from which Muslims should draw lessons of sacrifice, obedience, and Islamic unity, stressing the importance of strengthening awareness and insight in confronting the US-Israeli campaign against the Islamic nation.
In a statement issued Tuesday evening on the occasion of Eid ul-Adha, Sayyid Abdul-Malik affirmed that the Palestinian cause is “a deep wound in the body of the Islamic nation,” calling for continued support for the Palestinian people and their fighters, while praising Iran’s steadfastness and the Yemeni people’s position in confronting regional challenges.
He extended congratulations to the Yemeni people, their institutions and fighters, as well as to Muslim pilgrims and the wider Islamic nation on the occasion of Eid ul-Adha.
Al-Houthi said the holiday is linked to Hajj, one of Islam’s central pillars, and carries profound spiritual and moral significance through its rituals and lessons.
He stated that Hajj symbolizes Muslim unity and reminds the nation of its responsibilities to uphold righteousness, confront injustice, and remain guided by divine principles.
He added that the ritual of stoning the Jamarat reflects disavowal of Satan and opposition to tyrannical and corrupt forces, stressing that the Islamic position requires rejecting “America and Israel” and their allies within the Zionist movement.
The leader emphasized that Islamic occasions should strengthen unity, solidarity, and social cooperation, especially amid the ongoing US-Israeli assault on the Islamic nation.
Regarding Palestine, he warned that continued neglect of responsibilities toward the Palestinian people would allow the Zionist enemy to expand its aggression across the region.
He said the Zionist entity’s project under the slogans of “Greater Israel” and “Changing the Middle East” targets all peoples of the region, stressing that Muslims must support the Palestinian people, their fighters, and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
The leader also called on the Islamic nation to draw lessons from Iran’s steadfastness in confronting American-Israeli aggression, saying Iran’s position should encourage stronger Islamic cooperation against the Zionist enemy.
He stressed that Islamic brotherhood is a religious obligation and a key source of strength, praising the Yemeni people for maintaining support for Palestine, raising the banner of jihad, and responding firmly to insults against the Holy Qur’an.
He concluded by affirming that the Yemeni people remain committed to their Quranic path, faith identity, and human dignity while relying on Allah in confronting regional challenges.
