Sayyid Abdul-Malik offers condolences over death of Hamas commander Mohammed Odeh in Israeli strike

The leader of the revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, has extended condolences following the killing of senior Hamas military figure Mohammed Odeh and members of his family an Israeli attack carried out on the eve of Eid ul-Adha.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Sayyid Abdul-Malik said he received “with pride and deep sorrow the news of the martyrdom of the great jihadist commander Mohammed Odeh alongside his family after Zionist aggression,” praising Odeh’s long record of resistance and steadfastness.

He conveyed condolences and congratulations to the armed wing of Hamas, Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, as well as to the broader Palestinian resistance factions, the Palestinian people, and the Axis of Resistance.

Sayyid Abdul-Malik said Odeh’s martyrdom “in the confrontation against the front of disbelief, criminality, and tyranny” adds to the “honorable record” of the Qassam Brigades, asserting that the group’s resolve “has neither been broken nor weakened” despite ongoing challenges.

He further stressed that Hamas and allied resistance movements continue a “sacred divine duty” of jihad against their adversaries, adding that armed struggle remains “the weapon and fortress” in confronting “tyrants and arrogant powers.”
