Saudi airstrike hit close to maternity hospital in Sana’a

Yemen’s
Ministry of Health on Saturday condemned airstrikes carried out by Saudi warplanes near Al-Sabeen Maternity and Child Hospital in the capital, Sana’a.

According to the ministry, the strikes resulted in severe damage to the hospital’s facilities, departments, and medical equipment, injured several people, and caused widespread panic among patients and visitors.

In an official statement, the ministry emphasized that targeting healthcare facilities constitutes a flagrant violation of international and humanitarian laws and aligns with a policy aimed at depriving the Yemeni people of essential healthcare services.

The ministry called on the international community and human rights organizations to uphold their legal and moral responsibilities to end ongoing violations against civilians and critical infrastructure.
