Twenty-three more mercenaries, including high-ranking officers, defect to the ranks of Yemen’s defenders

The National Center for Receiving Returnees on Monday in Sana’a received 23 military personnel who defected from the Saudi-led coalition and returned to Sana’a, including high-ranking commanders.

Among the returnees received today are the former commander of the so-called Azal Axis in Baqam, Brigadier General Hani al-Wasabi, and the commander of the 1st Battalion of the so-called Al-Fatah Brigade in Al-Jawf, Lieutenant Colonel Ramzi al-Dhaheri.

The returned former mercenaries praised the position of the state leaders in the capital Sana’a in receiving the returnees and giving them amnesty, which reflects the level of responsibility towards the country and its people.

The defectors also renewed the call to all those who are still in the coalition’s ranks to take advantage of the amnesty and to join the defenders of Yemen.

They confirmed their willingness to “move alongside the heroes of the army and Popular Committees who defend the homeland against invaders and their agents.”
