Dozens of Saudi forces killed in failed attack on Hays, Hodeidah province

The Saudi-led coalition forces have on Sunday suffered heavy losses in lives and gear during a failed attempt to advance towards the east of Hays district in Hodeidah province, western Yemen.

A military source in the province confirmed that the Yemeni army and Popular Committees repelled the coalition forces’ attempt to advance in Hays, which resulted in dozens of dead and wounded among the coalition troops, as well as big losses in military gear.

The latest failed attempt comes within the framework of the coalition forces’ continual violations of the Hodeidah ceasefire, the latest of which was on Saturday, by committing 98 violations.

The coalition forces have suffered, during the past weeks, heavy human and material losses on the fronts of the West Coast, which follows their earlier retreats from key areas in the province wnd withdrawal further southwards.
