Fierce confrontations continued on Thursday between the Yemeni army forces and Saudi-led coalition forces in the desert separating the districts of Usaylan and Bayhan, western Shabwah province in eastern Yemen, local source reported.
The source said that Yemeni forces were able to take control of the Al-Mojabjab area and advance towards the positions of the coalition forces in Al-Akad area, where violent battles are taking place between the two sides.
According to the sources, the fierce confrontations between the two sides extended towards the oil fields run by American company Hunt.
The latest developments come mere hours after the coalition forces launched a failed military attack towards the positions of the Yemeni forces in Al-Saq area.
