A violent explosion rocked the southern port city of Aden, local sources said on Saturday.
According to local sources, a gunman threw bomb at a group of passengers near a bus station in the Cairo neighbourhood between the districts of Mansoura and Sheikh Othman, killing the attacker and injuring others.
The explosion caused material damage in the surroundings, while the UAE-backed Southern Traditional Council (STC) militias were deployed in the area following the attack.
No further details about the explosion were available so far.
Aden and other southern provinces have been witnessing assassinations and security disorder since United Arab Emirates occupation forces took control over the city years ago.
